Beautiful, warm weather! I am totally 100% solar powered. Ha! ☀️
Today was long but good…lots of project deadlines and the kids are ramping up for the last two weeks. Finals…here we come!!
Well, this week appears to be crawling by at a snails pace thus far. I started prepping for stage two of four of studio rehaul (either making a paper stand or copping out and buying a flat file..ha). Stage 3 consists of canvas rack. Stage 4 organize years worth of art and design magazines. Stage 5? Work! Create! Work!
Hope you’re having a lovely week…here’s to a happy Wednesday!
Well, my doodle says it all…I’m tired! Soooo tired! I’m so ready to go to bed–haha! 😀 I must admit, I’m already ready for bed ha!
Today was busy! We realized today that we only have two full weeks of school left and two days, so the crunch time has started! Get ready for end of term chaos!
Busy day! I woke up with a fire under my derriere apparently and decided to clean, clean, clean! Organize! Clean! It must have been a Spring cleaning sensation but, man oh man, did I get a TON done! 🙂
And even made time to doodle! 🙂
This month is FLYING by! Sheesh!! Wasn’t it just January? Ha! 🙂
Doodle du jour! Enjoy!
This week was both fast and slow (how is that possible?!) but I’m glad it’s here! Here’s the roundup of this week’s favs for me!
1 // From The Library :: Exhibition in D.C.
I love books!
As well as art and design, I am a voracious reader. I have a list of shows I want to see when the semester ends, but this one’s on the top of my list. The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. is having an exhibition of Florentine Publishing during the Renaissance (which is one of my favorite art periods, too, so win-win!) It’s up until August 2nd so here’s to books!
2 // The Foundry || Artists Co-Op
Shameless self promotion
The Foundry is a project I’ve been working on with some friends and community members in my hometown (Chambersburg, PA) and we’re getting close to launch! On May 21st we’re having a community meeting so if you live in southcentral PA, stop on by! 🙂
3 // Skillshare
Lots of goodies!
Ugh! I’m obsessed with this site! I loooooooooooooove all the courses I can take here and have enjoyed every one that I’ve finished so far (Hand Lettering, Logo Design by both Aaron Draplin and Ellen Lupton, Daily Monsters with Stefan Bucher, Drop Caps by Jessica Hische etc etc)…They now have month memberships and I have loved having access to everything. Not a paid sponsor, just wanted to shout out it’s awesomeness 🙂
4 // Hand Lettering
Speaking of lettering…
Speaking of lettering, I’ve been working on building a few projects for next fall and I’m going to have the students do some lettering by hand before they even think about getting on a computer. (ha!)…I’ve put together a collection of my favorites that I’ve wrangled this week for inspiration!
So I’ve been dreaming of summer and alas the temperatures this week took a massive nosedive (YUCK!)…from last Saturday’s gorgeous 78º to today’s….40º F! Double yuck! I was sent a travel catalog (bus tours) and saw one to Cape May. I’ve never been there (it’s only about a 4 hour drive, so no excuses this year) and there’s a ton to do…looks so cute too! And to dream about warm days and the beach…that sounds delish! Let’s go to the beach!
