I went to Michael’s today and was happy to see cheerful reds and pinks for Valentine’s Day out and about. Although Cupid’s arrow tends to miss me, I still love Valentine’s Day (not so much for commercialism, but because we’re one step closer to Spring!)
But before all that excitement (I got new Windsor Newton Watercolor markers…get ready!) I had to actually get out of bed. Today that was tricky because I was comfy and so was my cat. So my cat (and bed!) is inspiration again for today.
How is it already the end of the month?! Didn’t it just start?!
Seems as though 2015 is on the fast track already! Seeing as I’m a summer-gal, this makes me moderately happy because then that means Spring will get here sooner!
Today’s doodle ended up being an evolution of yesterday’s doodle. I started drawing on it this morning and today was a swirly day, which worked well for the foundation brought forth by yesterday’s doodle.
How was your Friday? Any exciting weekend plans? A town near mine is having their annual Ice Fest (sculptures of ice, sliding boards of ice, thrones of ice, that sort!) so I’ll be popping over to check things out. I drove through today and saw a heart ice sculpture with a backlight that was quite lovely!
I got behind this week! Sorry! The new semester started on Monday, which ended up being a snow day (eep!), and then Tuesday, more snow (eeeeeeeep!) and then I was at work from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday. Needless to say, when I came home, I fell asleep rather than post any of that day’s doodles 🙂
Yesterday ended up being a snow, but today went on as planned! Officially back into the swing of things for this spring semester. Thinking (dreaming, really) of Spring inspired today’s doodle (drawn while laying on the bed hence some wonky lines…ha!)
Spent some time reflecting on the weather forcast. I am 100% a summer gal so the mention of snow bummed me out. I think I need a winter sport hobby to help me enjoy it more (other than just shovelling…*sniff*)
